Normally, when a car goes from concept form to production form, a lot of details are lost in translation. That’s not the case with the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon, which first showed its face as the Sport Coupe Concept GTE in 2015. At this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the German automaker unveiled the CC successor with even niftier styling than the prototype.

That’s fine with us, as the Sport Coupe Concept was a fine-looking car. In production guise, the Arteon boasts a stylish front end with LED daytime running lights blending into the slatted grille, and a hatchback for added practicality. While the CC has dropped its V6 and AWD in recent years, the Arteon sees at least the latter return. For power, Volkswagen has announced six engines, but we only expect to get two—the base 148 hp and top-shelf 276 hp units—here in the United States.

The Arteon is set to arrive in showrooms early next year. If you’ve come looking to see to a more immediate automotive need, our Volkswagen dealership in Milwaukee, WI is here to help. Contact us to get the ball rolling at your convenience.
